Public Prekindergarten teachers who do not hold a current Maryland Teacher Certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ECE) endorsement may submit alternative documentation. Alternative documentation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Additional documentation not included on this list can be submitted for review.
Alternative Documentation that may meet TQF requirements
- Screenshot from TEACH Dashboard confirming:
- Teaching Certificate with Elementary endorsement with additional documentation indicating the teacher is working on an endorsement in ECE
- Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
- Initial application is “In Progress” & college transcript confirming bachelor’s degree
- Indication of “Pending Renewal”
- MSDE email confirming an application was submitted in TEACH and it is pending review
- Maryland Educator Certificate with “Invoice” status
- Bachelor’s degree and confirmation of participation in a Maryland Approved Alternative Preparation Program
- College transcript confirming Bachelor’s degree & Early Childhood Education Praxis scores
- Provisional Contract for Conditional or Resident Teacher Certificate Holders
- LEA’s letter of hire confirming the teacher is in Conditional status
- LEA’s transcript analysis
