The Maryland EXCELS Toolkit combines the resources and information programs need to expand their skills and apply research-based best practices to their work. Family Child Care, Child Care Centers, School-Age Only, and Public Prekindergarten programs can find relevant content to support their goals for continuous quality improvement.

The Toolkit provides different ways to explore best practices and how they relate to Maryland EXCELS requirements.

Toolkit by Quality Rating and by Content Area: Delve into tips, tools, and resources that help Maryland EXCELS participants improve the quality of their programs and develop the documentation needed as they work towards achieving quality ratings 1 through 5. There are two pathways to provide flexibility in finding the information that best meets your goals.

Resources: Explore a collection of resources that provide practical tips for implementing best practice and enhanced resources that allow you to further explore topics that will help you grow as an early childhood professional.
